What the all lenders page compares

This page lists every lender whose products we track: banks, bank branches, finance companies, peer-to-peer and crowdfunding services and the state financier. Each lender has its own profile page with products, published price, position in the market and supervision details. We group banks and other lenders separately because their regulation, funding and pricing differ.

We currently track 45 lenders and 91 products, of which 41 have a published rate (status 07/10/2026). More detailed figures are in the market report and rate changes in the market watch.

All lenders in numbers

The table shows the all-lender product categories, the number of products and lenders and the range of published rates. The median describes a typical price better than the mean because a single outlier does not distort it. Order: categories by number of products; data as of 07/10/2026.

The median of published bank rates is 8.99% and that of non-bank lenders 14.99%. The gap reflects a different funding source and risk appetite, not the superiority of one lender.

How this group differs from the others

Lenders differ by funding, supervision and pricing. Banks are credit institutions, branches of foreign banks operate in Finland under their home-country authorisation, finance companies and other lenders must be registered for consumer lending, and peer-to-peer and crowdfunding services rest on investor funding. The type is shown in each lender’s profile.

Compare the other groups too: banks, finance companies and others and business loans. The full list is on the all lenders page.

Product types

How to compare

  1. Choose the product category and decide the amount and term; test the payment in the calculator.
  2. Compare the annual percentage rate (APR), or the total cost for business finance, not only the nominal rate.
  3. See whether the price is published or negotiable, and check the lender’s supervision or registration.
  4. Ask your chosen lenders for their own pre-contract information and compare it side by side.
  5. Apply directly with the lender: Haeluotto does not process applications or make credit decisions.

Pros and limits

Advantages

  • All lenders in one list grouped by type.
  • Supervision and registration details appear in the profile.
  • Jump straight to a lender’s products.

Limits

  • The list is not the whole market: the report states which lenders in the Finanssivalvonta register are missing from tracking.
  • Some lenders do not publish a price.

Who this group suits

The list suits you when you know a lender’s name and want to see its products, price and supervision details, or when you want to check whether a lender is in our tracking.

If you are unsure, start with the calculator and compare two or three lenders. More on product types is on the category pages: consumer loan, business loan, mortgage, flexible credit line and debt consolidation loan.

Supervision and regulation

Supervision and registration of lenders rests with Finanssivalvonta; the price of consumer credit is limited by a rate cap and a cost cap. You can check a registered lender in the Finanssivalvonta register of supervised entities and read more about price limits at the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. A consumer has a 14-day right of withdrawal and may repay early.

If an application is rejected

A refusal does not mean every lender will refuse, but a burst of applications does not help. Ask for the reasons, check your credit record and the positive credit register data, and consider whether a smaller amount or a longer term is realistic. Do not apply everywhere at once. If you already have payment difficulties, contact debt counselling before taking new credit. Other options are on the lender list.

Common mistakes when comparing

  • Comparing only the monthly payment: a longer term lowers the payment but raises interest costs.
  • Comparing the nominal rate although opening and monthly fees raise the real annual percentage rate.
  • Assuming the published starting rate is your own rate: the final rate depends on the applicant.
  • Applying to several lenders in a hurry without comparing.
  • Forgetting rate risk on a Euribor-linked loan.
  • Not checking whether the lender is registered or supervised.

The calculation method and sources are described on the methodology page, and the monthly payment can be checked in the calculator.

Where the data comes from and how it updates

Figures are collected automatically from lenders’ own public pages and checked every night. If a page does not respond we keep the previous value and do not replace it with a guess. Rate changes are logged in the market watch and the method is described on the methodology page. Haeluotto receives no commission from lenders for listing, and commercial relationships do not affect the order.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a bank and a finance company?

A bank is a credit institution supervised by Finanssivalvonta that funds loans mainly with deposits and market funding. A finance company funds lending from other sources and its price is often risk-based. We separate the groups because prices are not directly comparable.

Why do not all products have a rate?

Many lenders set the rate only at the credit decision. We then show “negotiable / not published” and do not guess a figure.

Can I apply for a loan through Haeluotto?

No. Haeluotto is a comparison service that does not process applications or make credit decisions. You always apply directly with the lender.

Is the order paid visibility?

No. The order follows the rate the lender publishes, and commercial relationships do not affect it.

How often is the data updated?

Data is collected from lenders’ pages every night. Latest update: 07/10/2026.

How do I know a lender is trustworthy?

Check that the lender appears in the Finanssivalvonta register, read the pre-contract information and never pay anything in advance. The profile pages show the supervision data we track.
